12-hour Photo Marathon

12-hour Photo Marathon starts at 11.00 am on Saturday the 28.August 2010 and ends earliest at 22.30 pm., when you have taken pictures of the first 12 topic.

Participants in the 12-hour Photo Marathon may continue.
You will then participate in the 12-hour competition and for the topic prizes that you have photos for.

A 12-hour perticipant may continue for the 24-hour competition.

When the competition finish you have to: Show you participant card with at least two stamps. Hand in your memory card-that we will copy, your green arm-let, and your mug.
Then you will receive a diploma for completing the competition.

24-hour Photo Marathon

24-hour Photo Marathon starts at Saturday the 28.August 2010 at 11 am and ends at the 29.August between 10.01 and 11.30am.

Participants in the 24-hour Photo Marathon may stop early, but then participate in the 12-hour competition.

Participants in 24-hour Photo Marathon compete between the prizes in the 24-hour Photo Marathon and between the 23 topic prizes.

When the competition finish you have to: Show you participant card with at least five stamps. Hand in your memory card, your green arm-let, and your mug.
Then you will receive a diploma for completing the competition.

Awards

Photos should be presentable both on screen and on print.
The judges first pick out of photos are from a A3 print of the whole serial of photos.
During the final judging there will be used screen, exif-data, zoom and other techniques. The judges are sovereign deciders whether rules have been violated.

The judges are professionals and amateur photographers as well as people from the photo business.

Editing

It is not permitted to edit the images or to use an image-processing program.

You may also not change the fil-name or exif-data.

You may choose any given settings on you camera before taking the photo (black/white, sepia) or use blitz, filter, tripod etc.

Photos

All photos must be taken during Photo Marathon 2010 – Saturday 28.August from 11.am to Sunday 29.August. The first 12 photos should be shot before 22.30.

You may not chance camara during the competition. If you have trouble with your camera please contact Photo Marathon, and we will help you to the best of our abilities. Do not remove the memory card from the camera during the competition.

Images must be in the order the items are listed in on the subject list. This means that topic 1 is first on the memory card, followed by topic 2, 3, 4 etc. Exif-data determinates time and order on the photos.

You can delete photos on the memory card before you continue to the next topic. But remember the topics should be in the right orden on the memory card.

Copyright

Photo Marathon have the right to use photos when advertising for Photo Marathon.

Sponsors of prizes have the right to publicize the winning photos.

Topic prizes

There are prizes for all topics, except the first topic. To win a topic prizes you will have to have finish and completed a 12-hour Photo Marathon.

File format

Images must be taken in JPG. Other kind of formats of pictures will not be taken in to consideration by the judges. Cameras with other formats then JPG can not be used in Photo Marathon.

Memory Card

You can participate in Photo Marathon regarding of what memory card your camera is uses.

Bring an empthy memory card for your camera.

Do not remove the memory card from the camera during the competition. If you have tecnical troubles please contact Photo Marathon, and we will help you to the best of our abilities.

We will copy the content of your memory card, by the end of the competition, and you you will bring the memory card home.

Camera

All photo should be taken with the same camera. Do not chance camera during the competition.

Check points

You have to show up personal at the check points, where you will receive the next four topics and a stamp at you participant card. Check point hours are at: 3pm, 7 pm, 11pm, 3 am, 7 am. Hand out of topics start half an hour before checkpoint time, and ends half an hour after check point time.

Prize ceremony

The prize ceremony takes place on Saturday the 2.October at 12 pm in Copenhagen. Prizes that are note pick up during the ceremony will be mailed. Further information will be on the homepage later.

Technique

If you have technical problems during the competition assistance is offered to participants to the best of over abilities.

Do not remove your memory card from the camera.

We do not sale batteries and other spare parts.
